Food on the Table Magick Powder & Oil
Primary Use:
To ensure there’s always enough food on the table.
For Powder, You Will Need:
Powder Instructions:
At your Santa Muerte altar in the glow of the gold candle's flame, use your mortar and pestle to grind and incorporate together approximately equal parts alfalfa, cinnamon, poppy seeds, and wheat flour into a powder. As you do, recite and meditate on the Food on the Table magick prayer, which is found below. Praying over the herbs and flour while you incorporate them into a powder will help you focus your energy toward your desired intent of having plenty of food to feed yourself and the ones you love. Be careful of breathing in the dust of the mixture as you grind, as it may cause irritation.
Transfer the herb mixture to the mini-mason jar or other container, and leave in the light of your gold candle until the candle burns to completion. Label the jar or container.
Examples for Using the Powder:
To use powder, recite the below included Food on the Table magick prayer as you sprinkle into areas where you keep food, or areas where your family gathers to eat food together. Sprinkle into the centerpiece of the family dining table. Sprinkle in the back of the fridge, pantry, and cupboards. Sprinkle into the bottom of a bowl of fruit and leave on the kitchen counter.
For Oil, You Will Need:
Oil Instructions:
At your Santa Muerte altar in the glow of the gold candle's flame, combine in your mini-mason jar or other magick oil container Food on the Table Magick Powder and almond oil. There is no rule as to how much powder you should add to the oil, but a ratio of about 10% powder to 90% oil will do just fine.
Stir or mix until all dry powder is incorporated. As you do that, continue to recite the Food on the Table magick prayer, included below, while meditating on the intent of always having enough food to feed yourself and your loved ones.
Leave the jar in the light of your gold candle until the candle burns to completion. Label the jar or container.
Store your new batch of magick oil for at least 10 days in a cool, dark place before use to allow the oil enough time to absorb the energies of the dry ingredients. During this time, you can periodically mix the ingredients as you pray the Food on the Table magick prayer and focus on the magickal intent behind the potion. Your oil is ready for magickal work after the 10th day. Continue to store in a cool, dark place when not in use.
Examples for Using the Oil:
To use oil, recite the Food on the Table magick prayer as you anoint the centerpiece and the corners of your family dining table. Trace the words "Always Full" in oil on the refrigerator door. Anoint the outer packaging on loaves of bread as they come into the home. Anoint a piece of bread and present as an offering on your Santa Muerte altar. Anoint a bowl, place it on your kitchen counter, and keep it always full of fresh fruit.
Food on the Table Magick Prayer:
Santa Muerte, cloak of gold,
May food be, always at home.
Cupboards full, and plates heavy,
Those at home, never hungry.
Holy Death, my patron saint,
Beast of hunger may you slay.
To ensure there’s always enough food on the table.
