Practice Reading #11
Below is a pattern of coins as it might appear in a real reading. See Figure 46.
Figure 46 - A sample coin reading with all 14 coins cast.
Next, all face-down coins are disregarded, and removed from the reading surface. See Figure 47.
Figure 47 - This is the same reading from Figure 46, but all face-down coins have been removed from the reading surface.
For simplicity, the reading surface can now be rotated so that The Pointer coin appears to point east, or to the three o’clock position - see Figure 48. Whether or not you physically rotate the reading is your decision, but you will always read the coins in the direction of The Pointer.
Figure 48 - The same reading from Figure 46 and Figure 47, after the face-down coins have been removed,
and the reading surface rotated so The Pointer points from left to right.
and the reading surface rotated so The Pointer points from left to right.
The coins, as they appear in Figure 48, are now ready to be interpreted.
Since we are reading from left to right, in the direction of The Pointer coin, we interpret The Crown first, because it is the coin that is farthest to the left of the pattern. The Crown represents material success, riches, and treasure. The next coin we interpret is The Scythe, which represents death, or a new beginning. These two coins could be interpreted to represent a new beginning in matters of finances, which could signal the start of a new job, or the discovery of a new financial opportunity.
The next two coins in the reading, The Rose and The Moon coins, appear on-line, and can be interpreted together. When two coins appear on-line, the upper coin, which in this case is The Rose, is considered to have the most influence, or to weigh down on, the bottom coin, which in this case is The Moon.
The Rose coin represents love and relationships, and The Moon coin represents the ebb and flow of the good and bad in life. Since the two coins are interpreted together, with The Rose weighing most heavily on The Moon, this could be interpreted to mean that a personal relationship will be the catalyst for a change in fortune.
Overall, this reading appears to point to wealth and treasure in your future, and the start of a new beginning for your life. You may finally have the money to pursue a goal, or make a major purchase. A personal relationship may also turn around - but this will depend on the current state of your personal relationship. Since The Moon represents a turning of the tide, it could mean that a good relationship will turn sour, or that a poor relationship will improve, very likely as a result of new money coming into your life. An injection of cash might make a strong relationship suffer if you and your partner can’t get on the same page about how the money should be spent. Likewise, an injection of cash might make a suffering relationship stronger, by relieving some of the anxiety and worry that often comes from not having enough money to make ends meet.
