Practice Reading #3
Below is a pattern of coins as it might appear in a real reading. See Figure 22.
Figure 22 - A sample coin reading with all 14 coins cast.
Next, all face-down coins are disregarded, and removed from the reading surface. See Figure 23.
Figure 23 - This is the same reading from Figure 22, but all face-down coins have been removed from the reading surface.
For simplicity, the reading surface can now be rotated so that The Pointer coin appears to point east, or to the three o’clock position - see Figure 24. Whether or not you physically rotate the reading is your decision, but you will always read the coins in the direction of The Pointer.
Figure 24 - The same reading from Figure 22 and Figure 23, after the face-down coins have been removed,
and the reading surface rotated so The Pointer points from left to right.
and the reading surface rotated so The Pointer points from left to right.
The coins, as they appear in Figure 24, are now ready to be interpreted.
Since we are reading from left to right, in the direction of The Pointer coin, we see that The Apple has landed on-line with The Tear, so we would interpret these two coins together, giving more weight to the upper coin, which in this case is The Apple.
The Apple represents ideas or goals coming to fruition, but also reaping what is sown. Unfortunately, since The Apple is having a major influence on The Tear, it can be interpreted to mean that whatever fruit you are about to yield will not be what is expected, or will lead directly to sadness and depression.
The next coin in the reading is The Crossroads, representing a choice that will have to be made.
Following The Crossroads is The Grave, representing a gathering or an organization, which is covered by The Scales of Justice, representing balance and retribution. Since The Scales of Justice covers The Grave, it shows that fairness and retribution may be the reason for the coming together of people - put another way, justice and retribution are weighing down over a gathering of people.
The next coin is The Moon, representing the cycles, or ebb and flow, of life. This indicates that whatever you are experiencing will likely be turned on its head. If life has been good, then you can expect a period of challenges and struggles. Considering The Tear from earlier in the reading, it could mean that life is probably going to go from good to bad, or that the consequences you have been able to evade so far are about to catch up with you.
Finally, The Bridge is the last coin for interpretation, which suggests that you are about to go on a physical or spiritual journey.
Overall, this reading appears to signal legal trouble ahead. It looks like the consequences for a string of bad decisions is about to come due, and a decision will have to be made regarding whether to own up or continue to evade those consequences. The coming together of people in order to seek balance or retribution could very well describe a courtroom. Life turning upside down, and the journey at the end of the reading, may point to having to “go away” for a period of time, as would be expected with a jail sentence, or with being shunned by one’s family / friends.
