Practice Reading #4
Below is a pattern of coins as it might appear in a real reading. See Figure 25.
Figure 25 - A sample coin reading with all 14 coins cast.
Next, all face-down coins are disregarded, and removed from the reading surface. See Figure 26.
Figure 26 - This is the same reading from Figure 25, but all face-down coins have been removed from the reading surface.
For simplicity, the reading surface can now be rotated so that The Pointer coin appears to point east, or to the three o’clock position - see Figure 27. Whether or not you physically rotate the reading is your decision, but you will always read the coins in the direction of The Pointer.
Figure 27 - The same reading from Figure 25 and Figure 26, after the face-down coins have been removed,
and the reading surface rotated so The Pointer points from left to right.
and the reading surface rotated so The Pointer points from left to right.
The coins, as they appear in Figure 27, are now ready to be interpreted.
Since we are reading from left to right, in the direction of The Pointer coin, we interpret The Crossroads first, because it is the coin that is farthest to the left in the pattern. Although The Pointer is technically farthest to the left in the pattern, remember that The Pointer has no significance and exists as a directional aid only. For this reason, The Crossroads is interpreted first.
The Crossroads represent that there is a decision to be made, and that you are on the precipice of a new chapter in your life.
The next two coins in the reading, The Bridge and The Scales of Justice, at first glance both appear on the same line, but placing a perpendicular straight edge (perpendicular to the arrow on The Pointer coin) against the two coins, as explained back in Figure 4, will reveal that, in fact, The Bridge is farther to the left in the pattern, and should be interpreted before The Scales of Justice.
The Bridge represents a physical or spiritual journey, which indicates that whatever decision is about to be made will lead directly to a spiritual or physical journey. The Scales of Justice coin, which represents balance, fairness, and retribution, may signal that the journey which you are about to take may very well lead directly to balance or some form of retribution.
The final coin to be interpreted is The Skull, which represents the self, and places emphasis on the coin(s) that land closest to it, as a signal of what forces are weighing the heaviest on your life right now. Since The Scales of Justice appears to be closest to The Skull in this reading, this signals that the quest for balance or retribution will have the most impact on the decision and journey which you will come to face.
Overall, this reading could be interpreted as a sign that you are about to make, or are contemplating, a decision to take a journey toward, or to pursue, balance or retribution in your life. Perhaps you are contemplating going to confront somebody about how they have treated you, or going to report somebody for their conduct against you. Either way, it appears that your quest for balance and justice is weighing heaviest on your mind right now, and you will likely not be able to focus on anything else until you get the balance and justice that you want.
