Seeker's Seal
Primary Purpose:
This magick seal is intended to help those who quest for knowledge, such as students of academia, arts, and magick, as well as anyone wanting to learn the truth of things now hidden, like reporters, detectives, researchers, and other professional seekers of truth.
You Will Need:
1 Small Piece of Paper - about 4.25 x 5.5 inches works well.
1 Blue Ink Pen - to create your Seeker’s Seal.
Seal Symbolism:
This seal consists of an illuminated candle, upon which appears a skeleton key, and behind which appears a pair of crossed scythes. The flame of the candle represents the quest for knowledge and understanding - to shine a light on things now unknown. The skeleton key is another symbol to represent gaining access to knowledge and understanding. The crossed scythes behind the candle represent the cutting through of barriers in the world which might be preventing you from gaining the knowledge and information that you seek.
Seal Preparation:
At your Santa Muerte altar, using a blue ink pen, draw the Santa Muerte Seeker’s Seal, pictured above, on your piece of paper. As you draw, recite the Seeker’s Seal Magick Prayer, found below.
Using Your Seeker’s Seal:
To use your Seeker’s Seal, simply place in or near an area associated with your quest for knowledge. Place at the desk where you study or conduct research. Place a seal in any book you are reading, or plan to read. If you are a journalist, detective, researcher, or anyone who must uncover facts as part of your job, then carry this seal on your person while you work. When you place your seal, and whenever you start work or study in pursuit of knowledge, focus on the seal and recite the Seeker’s Seal Magick Prayer, found below.
Seeker’s Seal Magick Prayer:
Santa Muerte, my Saint Death,
Bless me on my knowledge quest.
Light of wisdom, shine on me,
May I learn all which I seek.
Open now, the door to truth,
So I may freely pass through.
