Divorce Curse Santa Muerte Magick

Primary Use:

To cause the divorce of a married couple.

You Will Need:

• 1 Black Candle - to appeal to the energy of the black cloaked Santa Muerte of hexes and curses.

​

• 1 Piece of Paper - to write the names of your target couple.

 

• 1 Black Ink Pen - for writing the names of your target couple on your paper.

 

• ​​Lemon Verbena Herb - for sowing discord between two people, for breaking up couples and causing marriages to end in divorce.

 

• Negativity Activator - something associated with negativity or known for being "yucky". A negativity activator will amplify the negative aspects of all other ingredients and help further pile on the discomfort and discord in the lives of your target couple. For this work, I recommend your own spit, to represent spitting on the union between your target couple.

 

• Black Yarn - to represent the symbolic knot tied by your target couple.

 

• Cauldron or Fire Safe Bowl - to symbolically burn the marriage to ashes.

Preparations:

At your Santa Muerte altar, light your black candle, so that you may work in its light. Write the names of the couple that you want to cause to divorce on the piece of paper. If able, add an additional one or two facts about the couple to the piece of paper - like their address, anniversary date, or even email addresses. You can also introduce a photo, and write directly onto it. The more information you can add to the paper, the stronger you will make the magickal link between the paper and your target couple.

Crafting the Curse:

Next spit three times onto this piece of paper (this is the introduction of your negativity activator). Recite the Divorce Curse Santa Muerte magick prayer, found below, once after each spitting. Once well spat upon, sprinkle your lemon verbena herb over the piece of paper, covering as much of the names and personal details as you can with the herb. This is to represent smothering your target couple with the negative magickal energy of your lemon verbena, which is to drive two people apart and to inject strife and unhappiness into a relationship. As you sprinkle the herb over the names, again recite the Divorce Curse Santa Muerte magick prayer.

Now safely rest your burning black candle over the piece of paper (which so far has been spit on and sprinkled in lemon verbena) and let burn for about 30 minutes. Use a burn plate if necessary. This is to represent the power of your curse weighing down on the couple, and to further reinforce the link between your intent and the target couple listed on the paper. At the end of approximately 30 minutes, remove the candle from over the paper and fold the paper (including the lemon verbena that you sprinkled over it) into a small envelope. Recite the below Divorce Curse Santa Muerte magick prayer as you fold the paper.

Executing the Curse:

Using your black yarn, wrap the folded paper and secure with a simple knot. This knot represents the knot of marriage tied by your target couple. Continue to recite the Divorce Curse Santa Muerte magick prayer (found below) as you tie the knot. Once tied, use the flame from your burning black candle to light your folded piece of paper and knotted yarn on fire. Move to your cauldron or fire safe bowl and let the paper / knot burn completely, reciting the Divorce Curse Santa Muerte magick prayer as it burns. 

Completing the Curse:

Once the folded paper and knot of yarn have been reduced to ashes, the curse is complete and has been sent. You may dispose of what remains from this petition using the instructions outlined in my post "How to Dispose of Magick Trash".

Allow the black candle to burn on your altar to completion.
