Find a Lover Santa Muerte Magick

Find a Lover Magick Powder

You Will Need -

Herbs:
​ 

• Rose - for a lasting love.
• Rosemary - also for attracting a lasting love.
• Catnip - to trigger an attraction.

​Other Items:
​

• 1 Small Piece of Paper - for a love drawing sigil.
• 1 Red Ink Pen - to create your love drawing sigil.​​​
• ​Cauldron / Burn Pot - for lighting your sigil on fire.
• ​Mortar and Pestle - for grinding your herbal ingredients into a powder. 
• ​Mini-Mason Jar - or other suitable container. For storing your Find a Lover magick powder. Mini mason jars are recommended because they offer a wide mouth for easy pouring. 
• 1 Red Candle - to appeal to the energy of the Red Cloaked Santa Muerte of Love.

Powder Instructions -

At your Santa Muerte altar in the glow of the red candle's flame, grind together approximately equal parts of herbal ingredients into a powder. As you do, recite and meditate on the Find a Lover Santa Muerte magick prayer found below. Praying over the herbs while you grind them into a powder will help you focus the energy of the potion toward your desired intent of finding a compatible lover.  Be careful of breathing in the dust of the herbs as you grind, as it may cause irritation. 

Next, on your piece of paper, trace a symbol that corresponds to the identity of the lover you want to attract. You are allowed to be creative here and trace a symbol that best represents, in your mind, the partner you want to attract. For example, the symbol for Mars (♂) can be drawn to identify a cisgender man, and the symbol for Venus  (♀) can be drawn to identify a cisgender woman. 

If you seek a transgender partner, you can add the letter “T” next to the Mars symbol (T♂) to attract a transgender male, and a “T” next to the Venus symbol (T♀) to attract a transgender female. If you yourself are trans, you could draw a heart around the “T” to represent a partner who is trans-friendly. 

For same-sex magick, a double Mars symbol (♂♂) can be used to attract a gay man, and a double Venus symbol (♀♀) can be used to attract a lesbian woman. Directional arrows can be added to target same sex partners of a specific variety. For example, an up arrow next to the double Mars symbol (♂♂↑) could represent an active gay partner, a down arrow next to the double Venus symbol (♀♀↓) could represent a passive lesbian partner, and a double pointed arrow could represent a versatile lover (♂♂↕).

Again, the specific symbols you use are not as important as the meaning which the symbols hold for you. Use whatever symbols most represent the type of lover you want to attract.

As you trace the symbol on your piece of paper, recite the "Find a Lover" magick prayer, which is found below.

In your cauldron or burn pot, light your sigil on fire, reciting the below magick prayer as the paper burns. When the flames have died, add the ashes to your ground herbal ingredients and mix together. Your powder is complete when the ashes have been well incorporated into the other dry ingredients.

Transfer the herb mixture to the mini-mason jar or other container, and leave in the light of your red candle until the candle burns to completion. Label the jar or container.

To use powder, recite the Find a Lover Santa Muerte magick prayer included below while you sprinkle in areas where you would like to attract a lover. Sprinkle around your bed where you would like to lay with your lover, sprinkle under the couch cushions where you would like to spend time with your lover, sprinkle around the table where you would like to share meals with your lover, et cetera.

Find a Lover Magick Oil

You Will Need -

Ingredients:

• Find a Lover Magick Powder - from the instructions above.
• Rosehip Carrier Oil - a magickal oil base for formulas dealing with love.

Other Items:
​

• ​Mini-Mason Jar - for storing your Find a Lover Magick oil. Mini mason jars are recommended because they offer a wide mouth for easy pouring. Also, small batches are recommended because magick oil has a shelf life, so you shouldn't make more than you intend on using over the next few months.
• 1 Red Candle - to appeal to the energy of the Red Cloaked Santa Muerte of Love.

Oil Instructions -

At your Santa Muerte altar in the glow of the red candle's flame, combine in your mini-mason jar or other magick oil container Find a Lover Magick Powder and rosehip carrier oil. There is no rule as to how much powder you should add to the oil, but a ratio of about 10% powder to 90% oil will do just fine.

​Stir or mix until all dry powder is incorporated. As you do that, continue to recite the Find a Lover Santa Muerte magick prayer (found below) over your potion while meditating on the intent of finding a compatible partner.

Leave in the light of your red candle until the candle burns to completion. Label the jar or container.

Store your new batch of magick oil for at least 10 days in a cool, dark place before use to allow the carrier oil enough time to absorb the energies of the dry ingredients. During this time, you can periodically mix the ingredients as you pray the Find a Lover magick prayer and focus on the magickal intent behind the potion. ​Your oil is ready for magickal work after the 10th day. Continue to store in a cool, dark place when not in use.

​To use oil, recite the Find a Lover Santa Muerte magick prayer while you anoint items and places where you would like to attract a lover. Anoint the headboard where you would like to lay with your lover, anoint a bottle of wine you would like to share with your lover, et cetera. You may also anoint yourself before going on a date or out to a social gathering, such as with a single drop of oil rubbed on a piece of jewelery, a belt buckle, or even the tab of a zipper.
