Health Poppet Santa Muerte Magick

To send good health and healing energies to a target using a Santa Muerte magick health poppet.

Crafting Your Poppet:

Use yellow fabric or yellow clay to craft your poppet as described in our previous article, "How to Make and Use a Santa Muerte Magick Poppet". If possible, craft your poppet in the light of a yellow candle at your Santa Muerte altar. In addition to the personal items of your target, also sew / incorporate one or more of the following ingredients into your Santa Muerte magick health poppet:

Basil- for general health and healing when you don't know exactly what's wrong.
Chamomile - for skin conditions and burns.
Cinnamon - for diabetes and blood / circulation issues.
Cloves - for oral conditions, teeth and gum conditions, and general physical pain. Also to ease cold and allergy symptoms.
Eyebright - for conditions of the eye(s).
Ginger - for diabetes, blood / circulation issues, high cholesterol, and joint / bone pain.
Lavender - for depression and mental health conditions.
Mustard - for cancer.
Oregano - for food born illnesses and bacterial infections.
Parsley - for digestion / stomach issues.
Red Clover - for muscle pain and conditions.
Rosemary - for disorders of the brain.
Sage - for throat conditions.
Tumeric - for cancer and head / brain conditions.

Breathing Life Into Your Poppet

Once your poppet has been constructed, incorporated with personal items from your target, and incorporated with the appropriate herbs and magickal ingredients, your poppet is ready to come to life. Sew your poppet shut (if using a fabric poppet) and at your Santa Muerte altar, whisper into your poppet's ear:

"Target's Full Name,
you are this poppet, and this poppet is you.
What I do to this poppet, may you feel it, too.
What I whisper to this poppet, may you think it true.
What I command to this poppet, may you jump to do.
Target's Full Name,
​you are this poppet, and this poppet is you."

Using Your Poppet

At your Santa Muerte magick altar, using white or yellow Santa Muerte style pins like the ones located here, or regular sewing pins, insert the pins into the doll in the areas where health and healing energy are needed the most or, if sending general health and healing energies, then poke the pins directly into the poppet's heart or third eye. Insert two or three needles in each area you want to focus on healing. As you insert the pins, recite in the simplest language possible the type of health or healing you want your target to experience. For example:

"Back pain be gone" - to heal back pain.
"Head ache go away" - to dispel a headache.
"Cancer cells defeated" - to fight the growth or spread of cancer.

As you insert the needles and recite the type of healing energy you want to send, visualize your victim experiencing the type of health and healing you want to cause. Don't just say the words "back pain be gone", actually visualize your target doing things they can't do when back pain flares up. Don't just say "cancer cells defeated", actually visualize your target in good health and high spirits.

With the pins in place, hide your poppet away. The healing energy you direct to your poppet is sent for as long as the pins remain in place. The poppet is linked to your target for as long as the poppet remains whole. Feel free to use a poppet more than once, so long as it's used on the same person and for the same purpose. 

Remember that not all physical ailments can be cured, and nobody is guaranteed a number of years on this Earth. Sometimes, the best we can hope for is that the physical suffering won't be too severe. When it does not seem as though your magick can work as a cure, consider it as a tool to help manage pain and to ease the transition from life to death.

Disposing of Your Poppet

When no longer needed, you may dispose of your health poppet using the instructions outlined in my post "How to Dispose of Magick Trash".
