 Home Protection Magick Powder

You Will Need -

Herbs:
​

• Basil - a strong protection herb against spiritual and physical harm. Used here to provide protection in general, and to dispel confusion, fear, and weakness from the home.
• Blessed Thistle - home protection against thieves and unwanted visitors.
• Dragon's Blood - for warding off evil and bringing good luck. This is technically a resin.

​Other Items:

• Dirt from Around the Home to Protect - to represent the home and target the benefits of the other ingredients into the specific home.​
• Red Brick Dust (literally the dust from a broken red brick) - for a wall of protection against evil and ill-wishers.
• ​Mortar and Pestle - for grinding your herbal ingredients into a powder.
• ​Mini-Mason Jar - or other suitable container. For storing your Home Protection magick powder. Mini mason jars are recommended because they offer a wide mouth for easy pouring. 
• ​1 White Candle - to appeal to the energy of the White Cloaked Santa Muerte of Home Protection.

Powder Instructions -

At your Santa Muerte altar in the glow of the white candle's flame, grind together approximately equal parts of herbal ingredients into a powder. Dragon's Blood is often sold as a chunk of resin, which may be difficult to grind in a mortar and pestle, but freezing the Dragon's Blood will make grinding easier.

As you grind the herbal ingredients, recite and meditate on the Home Protection Santa Muerte magick prayer found below. Praying over the herbs while you grind them into powder will help you focus the energy of the potion toward your desired intent of protecting your home and all who live there from physical and spiritual harm.  Be careful of breathing in the dust of the herbs as you grind, as it may cause irritation.

When the herbs have been ground, add in a few pinches of your home dirt and a few pinches of your red brick dust. Mix together the ground herbs, dust, and dirt while reciting the Home Protection Santa Muerte magick prayer. Your powder is complete when all dry ingredients have been well mixed.

Transfer to the mini-mason jar or other container, and leave in the light of your white candle until the candle burns to completion. Label the jar or container.

To use powder, recite the Home Protection Santa Muerte magick prayer found below as you sprinkle in the corners of all the rooms in your home - including closets and other storage areas. Sprinkle under beds and in nightstand drawers. Sprinkle around the outside of the home, over the front lawn, along any paths leading up to your home, over doorway thresholds, along window sills, and over locks on doors leading into your home. ​

Home Protection Magick Oil

You Will Need -

​Ingredients:
 

• ​Home Protection Magick Powder - from the instructions above.
• ​​Fractionated Coconut Carrier Oil - a magickal oil base for formulas dealing with protection and keeping threats away.

Other Items:
​

• ​Mini-Mason Jar - for storing your Home Protection magick oil. Mini mason jars are recommended because they offer a wide mouth for easy pouring. Also, small batches are recommended because magick oil has a shelf life, so you shouldn't make more than you intend on using over the next few months.
• 1 White Candle - to appeal to the energy of the White Cloaked Santa Muerte of Home Protection.

Oil Instructions -

At your Santa Muerte altar in the glow of the white candle's flame, combine in your mini-mason jar or other magick oil container Home Protection Magick Powder and fractionated coconut carrier oil. There is no rule as to how much powder you should add to the oil, but a ratio of about 10% powder to 90% oil will do just fine.

​Stir or mix until all dry powder is incorporated. As you do that, continue to recite the Home Protection Santa Muerte magick prayer (found below) over your potion while meditating on the intent of protecting your home and all who live there from physical and spiritual harm.

Leave in the light of your white candle until the candle burns to completion. Label the jar or container.

Store your new batch of magick oil for at least 10 days in a cool, dark place before use to allow the carrier oil enough time to absorb the energies of the dry ingredients. During this time, you can periodically mix the ingredients as you pray the Home Protection magick prayer and focus on the magickal intent behind the potion. ​Your oil is ready for magickal work after the 10th day. Continue to store in a cool, dark place when not in use.

To use oil, recite the below Home Protection Santa Muerte magick prayer as you anoint areas of your home where individuals may enter or exit - from the front door to the back door to the garage door to the windows in between. Tracing a simple "X" on these surfaces will assist you in "X"-ing out harm and trouble of both the physical and spiritual varieties. Anoint a white candle with Home Protection oil and burn it as an offering on your Santa Muerte altar for general home protection. For more specific protection, etch the street address of the home to protect into the candle, as well as the names of the people who live there, or the last name of the family who lives there. As you anoint with your oil, recite the "Home Protection" Santa Muerte magick prayer below.
