Landlord Protection Santa Muerte Magick

Primary Use:

To protect a rental property, and to encourage tenants to pay their rent on time.

Landlord Protection Magick Powder

You Will Need -

Herbs:

• Basil - a strong protection herb. Used here to provide protection to the property in general, those who will live or work within it, and the landlord who hopes to profit from it.
• Blessed Thistle - for protection against thieves and unwanted visitors, to keep thieves away from the property, and to protect the property from squatters / non-paying tenants.
• Cinnamon - associated with prosperity, abundance, and fullness. Used here to represent an abundance of qualified renters who pay their rent on time.
• Wheat Flour - to represent a harvest; specifically the harvest of profits which the landlord hopes to reap from the rental property. Technically not an herb, but treated as one here.

​Other Items:

• Dirt from Around the Rental Property - to represent the rental property and target the benefits of the other ingredients into the specific rental space.​
• Red Brick Dust (literally the dust from a broken red brick) - to form a spiritual wall of protection around the rental property.
• ​Mortar and Pestle - for grinding and incorporating your herbal ingredients.
• ​Mini-Mason Jar - or other suitable container. For storing your Landlord Protection magick powder. Mini mason jars are recommended because they offer a wide mouth for easy pouring. 
• ​1 Gold Candle - to appeal to the energy of the Gold Cloaked Santa Muerte of money, business, and profit.

Powder Instructions -

At your Santa Muerte altar in the glow of the gold candle's flame, grind and incorporate together approximately equal parts of the herbal ingredients (the basil, blessed thistle, cinnamon, and wheat flour) into a blended mixture.

As you grind and incorporate the herbal ingredients, recite and meditate on the Landlord Protection Santa Muerte magick prayer, found below. Praying over the herbs while you grind and incorporate them together will help you focus the energy of the potion toward your desired intent of protecting your rental property from damage and unpaid rent.  Be careful of breathing in the dust of the herbs as you grind, as it may cause irritation.

When the herbs have been well incorporated, add in a few pinches of the dirt from the rental property, and a few pinches of your red brick dust. Blend all these ingredients together with your  mortar and pestle - the herbs, dirt, and dust - while reciting the Landlord Protection Santa Muerte magick prayer. Your powder is complete when all dry ingredients have been well mixed, and when a bit of each ingredient is present in every pinch.

Transfer to the mini-mason jar or other container, and leave in the light of your gold candle until the candle burns to completion. Label the jar or container.

To use the powder, recite the Landlord Protection Santa Muerte magick prayer, found below, as you sprinkle in the corners of all the rooms in the vacant rental - including closets and other storage areas. Sprinkle around the outside of the property, over the front lawn, along any paths leading up to the rental property, over doorway thresholds, along window sills, and over locks on doors leading into the space. If the rental is already occupied by renters, or if you feel current renters may run into trouble paying their rent, then another option is to place a copy of the signed lease agreement under a gold offering candle at your Santa Muerte altar. Sprinkle this Landlord Protection Magick Powder around the base of the gold offering candle as you recite the Landlord Protection magick prayer, found below. Light the candle and let it burn to completion. You can also place a copy of the signed lease agreement in an envelope, then sprinkle this magick powder into the envelope, again reciting the below magick prayer as you do, and store the envelope on or near your Santa Muerte altar for as long as the tenants on the lease remain in the rental.

Landlord Protection Magick Oil

You Will Need -

​Ingredients:
 

• ​Landlord Protection Magick Powder - from the instructions above.
• Olive Oil - a multi-purpose magickal oil base often associated with protection and wealth, included here to promote protection of your rental investment.

Other Items:
​

• ​Mini-Mason Jar - for storing your Landlord Protection magick oil. Mini mason jars are recommended because they offer a wide mouth for easy pouring. Also, small batches are recommended because magick oil has a shelf life, so you shouldn't make more than you intend on using over the next few months.
• ​1 Gold Candle - to appeal to the energy of the Gold Cloaked Santa Muerte of money, business, and profit.

Oil Instructions -

At your Santa Muerte altar in the glow of the gold candle's flame, combine in your mini-mason jar or other magick oil container Landlord Protection Magick Powder and olive oil. There is no rule as to how much powder you should add to the oil, but a ratio of about 10% powder to 90% oil will do just fine.

​Stir or mix until all dry powder is incorporated. As you do that, continue to recite the Landlord Protection Santa Muerte magick prayer, found below, over your potion while meditating on the intent of protecting your rental property, and attracting renters who can pay their rent on time.

Leave in the light of your gold candle until the candle burns to completion. Label the jar or container.

Store your new batch of magick oil for at least 10 days in a cool, dark place before use to allow the carrier oil enough time to absorb the energies of the dry ingredients. During this time, you can periodically mix the ingredients as you pray the Landlord Protection magick prayer and focus on the magickal intent behind the potion. ​Your oil is ready for magickal work after the 10th day. Continue to store in a cool, dark place when not in use.

To use oil, anoint a gold offering candle with Landlord Protection oil and burn it as an offering on your Santa Muerte altar before starting a search for new tenants. You may also anoint the key(s) to the rental before handing them over to a new tenant. If the rental property is still vacant, then anoint all areas where people may enter or exit, from the front door to the backdoor, garage door to the windows in between. Use the oil to trace an X on these surfaces, to represent "X"-ing out property damage and missed rent payments. If the rental is already occupied, you can also anoint a gold offering candle with Landlord Protection oil, and burn it as an offering on your Santa Muerte altar, a few days before rent is due, or when tenants express a concern that they may not be able to pay rent on time. Recite the Landlord Protection prayer, found below, whenever anointing with this oil.
