Open and Balanced Chakras - Santa Muerte Magick

Primary Use

A Santa Muerte petition to encourage the opening and balancing of the seven major chakras within the body.

***This suggestion came from a Santa Muerte devotee who also works with the chakras, or energy centers, within the human body. Not everybody works with the chakras, but if you do, then this is for you.

You Will Need

Herb:

• Boneset - Also known as “abrecaminos” in Spanish, which literally translates to “Open Roads”, this herb is intended to open the chakras, and destroy whatever might be keeping your chakras blocked.

Other Items:

• Mortar and Pestle - to grind down your herbal ingredient.

• 1 White Offering Candle - to appeal to the White Cloak Santa Muerte of harmony and balance.

The Petition

At your Santa Muerte altar, in the glow of the white candle's flame, use your mortar and pestle to grind down the boneset herb. You ultimately want enough ground herb to sprinkle around the base of the white candle.

As you grind the boneset herb, recite and meditate on the Open and Balanced Chakras Santa Muerte magick prayer, which is found below. Praying over the herb while you grind it into a mixture will help you focus the energy of the potion toward your desired intent of opening and balancing the magickal energy centers within your body.  Be careful of breathing in the dust of the herb as you grind, as it may cause irritation.

When the boneset is ground, slowly encircle the base of the offering candle with the herb, continuing to recite the below Open and Balanced Chakras magick prayer as you do. When the candle is encircled in a ring of boneset herb, leave the candle at your altar to burn to completion.

Once the candle burns to completion, the petition is complete.

Santa Muerte Magick Prayer

Santa Muerte, Holy Death,
bless these words upon my breath.

Balance well, and open please, 
every chakra within me.

Chakra red, which is my root,
may I bear good earthly fruit.

Sacral chakra, orange bright,
show me how to feel all right.

Yellow chakra, plexus solar,
grant my body strength and power.

Chakra of the heart so green,
bring forth love, for mine and me.

From within, my chakra blue,
words and thoughts, be clear and true.

Third eye chakra, eye of mind,
psychic answers may I find.

Above all, my chakra crown,
on me, wisdom, do rain down.

In the name of Holy Death,
all my chakras, now be blessed.
