Prisoner Release Santa Muerte Magick

Primary Use: To petition Santa Muerte for the release of an incarcerated or imprisoned loved one.

You Will Need:

Herbs:

• Agrimony - a powerful breaking herb, incorporated here to represent the breaking of locks and chains that keep the loved one captive.
• Boneset - to open the road ahead and clear roadblocks that might stand in the captive's way. "Abrecaminos" in Spanish, which literally translates to "Open Roads".

Other Ingredients:

• Personal Essence of Imprisoned Target - this can be one or two strands of their hair, a couple of eyelashes, or a pinch of trimmings plucked from a beard trimmer. Hair will incorporate the best into this petition, but you may also use a couple of nail clippings, or a couple drops of their spit. If these are not available, you can also use the ashes of a letter written in their own hand. Have the imprisoned target write their name, date of birth, and prisoner number (if they have one) on a piece of paper and mail it to you. Burn that letter to ashes and treat those ashes as a substitute for the target's personal essence. If none of these options are available, you can write the prisoner's name and date of birth on a piece of paper, then burn that to ashes.
• Photo of the Target - to further direct the energy of this petition toward the intended target.
• Mortar and Pestle - for grinding and incorporating your herbal ingredients, and the personal essence of the target, into a powder.
• Lock and Key - the lock will remain open throughout this petition, and the lock and key together will represent the unlocking of the locks which keep the target imprisoned.
• 1 Green Ink Pen - to write on the lock and key.
• 1 Green Candle - to appeal to the energy of the green cloaked Santa Muerte of Law and Legal matters.

Preparations:

At your Santa Muerte altar, place the photo of your target beneath the green offering candle, then light the green candle so you can work in its light. Next, add a small amount of each of the two herbal ingredients - the agrimony and boneset - into your mortar. You do not need much, just enough to create a circle around the base of the green candle. At this point, you can also add the personal essence of your target to the herbal mixture, then use your pestle to grind and incorporate the three ingredients together. As you grind and incorporate the herbal ingredients, recite the Prisoner Release Santa Muerte magick prayer, found below. Praying over the herbs while you work will help focus the energy of your intent toward your desired goal of seeing the target regain their freedom. Be careful of breathing in the dust of the herbs as you grind, as it may cause irritation. When the herbs and personal essence of your target are well incorporated, then sprinkle the blend around the base of the green offering candle (which should still be positioned over the picture of the target). Continue to recite the below magick prayer as you encircle the candle with the herbal mixture.

Create the Open Lock Charm:

Using the green ink pen, write the target's name on the lock, then write the words "Santa Muerte" on the key. This is to represent the power of Santa Muerte being used to open the locks which are keeping the target imprisoned. Place the key in the lock, and leave the lock open (unlocked). Place the lock and key near the burning candle, so they can absorb the light of the candle's flame. Over the lock and key, recite the Prisoner Release magick prayer, found below, at least three more times.

Complete the Petition:

Next, let the candle burn to completion. When the candle has burned to completion, the herbal ingredients sprinkled around the candle can be sprinkled over the Earth. Keep the open lock and key on your altar, on top of the target's photo. You can recite the below included magick prayer three times in a row once a day over the lock, key, and photo. And you can repeat the full petition once a month for as long as you feel is necessary.

Santa Muerte, true and strong,
free my target from their bonds.
Break the locks and break the chains,
set them free in your good name.
