Primary Use:
To promote respect and love for self. You Will Need: Herbs: - Motherwort: to attract self confidence. - Rose: to attract love; in this case, love for self. - Sage: to attract the wisdom, especially the wisdom to honor oneself in thought and action. Other Ingredients: - Medium Bowl of Water: to serve as a reflecting bowl. Fill approximately half way. - 1 Pink Candle: To appeal to the energy of the pink cloaked Santa Muerte of love and respect for self. Preparations: First, fill your medium bowl with water and place near your altar. At your Santa Muerte altar, etch your first and last name into the wax of the pink offering candle, then light the candle so you may continue to work in its light. Next, while peering into the bowl to see your reflection, sprinkle approximately one handful of each herb, one at a time, over the surface of the water. As you sprinkle each herb, recite the Self Respect Santa Muerte magick prayer, found below. Sprinkle the herbs so they cover as much of the surface of the water as possible. This represents covering yourself in self confidence, love, and wisdom. When the surface of the water is covered in your herbal ingredients, leave the bowl in the light of your pink offering candle, until the candle burns to completion. Washing Away: When the candle has burned completely, return to the bowl of water, and use the water to rinse your hands over the bowl, again reciting the below magick prayer. This is a symbolic process to represent the rinsing away of self doubt and self hate. Toss the rest of the water away outside, to represent the tossing away of the self doubt and self hate you just rinsed from yourself. Self Respect Santa Muerte Magick Prayer: Pretty lady made of bone, dressed in pink from head to toe, give me wisdom so to see, the value you see in me. Fill me with a limitless, inner strength and confidence. Love for self, do fill me up, Death who loves no matter what.
