Study Focus Santa Muerte Magick

Study Focus Magick Powder

You Will Need -

Herbs:
​

• Basil - a powerful ingredient in protection potions, basil is also well known for dispelling confusion - used here to dispel confusion in studying and learning.
• Peppermint - for focus, concentration, and alertness.
• Rosemary - for memory, as well as for luck during exams.
• ​Sage - a powerful wisdom herb, so you may best apply the knowledge you learn and study.

​Other Items:
​

• ​Mortar and Pestle - for grinding your herbal ingredients into a fine powder.
• ​Mini-Mason Jar - or other suitable container. For storing your Study Focus magick powder. Mini mason jars are recommended because they offer a wide mouth for easy pouring. 
  
• ​1 Blue Candle - to invoke the energy of the Blue Cloaked Santa Muerte of Knowledge and Learning.

Powder Instructions -

At your Santa Muerte altar in the glow of the blue candle's flame, grind together approximately equal parts of herbal ingredients into a powder. As you do, recite and meditate on the Study Focus Santa Muerte magick prayer found below. Praying over the herbs while you grind them into a powder will help you focus your energy toward your desired intent of studying well, understanding what you study, and being able to recall later what you've studied.  Be careful of breathing in the dust of the herbs as you grind, as it may cause irritation.

Transfer to the mini-mason jar or other container, and leave in the light of your green candle until the candle burns to completion. Label the jar or container.

To use powder, recite the Study Focus Santa Muerte magick prayer included below while you sprinkle in areas where you study or learn. Sprinkle around your desk and sprinkle in your pockets before class, conferences, or lectures.​

Study Focus Magick Oil

You Will Need -
​
​Ingredients:

• ​Study Focus Magick Powder - from the instructions above.
• ​Almond Carrier Oil - a magickal oil base for formulas dealing with knowledge and wisdom.

Other Items:
​

• ​Mini-Mason Jar - for storing your Study Focus magick oil. Mini mason jars are recommended because they offer a wide mouth for easy pouring. Also, small batches are recommended because magick oil has a shelf life, so you shouldn't make more than you intend on using over the next few months.
• 1 Blue Candle - to invoke the energy of the Blue Cloaked Santa Muerte of Knowledge and Learning.

Oil Instructions -

At your Santa Muerte altar in the glow of the blue candle's flame, combine in your mini-mason jar or other magick oil container Study Focus Magick Powder and almond carrier oil. There is no rule as to how much powder you should add to the oil, but a ratio of about 10% powder to 90% oil will do just fine.

​Stir or mix until all dry powder is incorporated. As you do that, continue to recite the Study Focus Santa Muerte magick prayer (found below) over your potion while meditating on the intent of studying well, understanding what you study, and being able to recall later what you've studied.

Leave in the light of your green candle until the candle burns to completion. Label the jar or container.

Store your new batch of magick oil for at least 10 days in a cool, dark place before use to allow the carrier oil enough time to absorb the energies of the dry ingredients. During this time, you can periodically mix the ingredients as you pray the Study Focus magick prayer and focus on the magickal intent behind the potion. ​Your oil is ready for magickal work after the 10th day. Continue to store in a cool, dark place when not in use.

To use oil, recite the below Study Focus Santa Muerte magick prayer as you anoint areas where you study and items related to your academic efforts. Anoint the corners of the desk where you study, the pen you use to take notes, the glasses you wear when you read lessons, the spines of assigned textbooks, etc. Anoint a blue candle as an offering to the Santa Muerte, and study near the candle's light.
