Depiction: 

In the Tarot de la Santa Muerte, the card "El Mundo" shows a white cloaked Santa Muerte appearing to hover against a backdrop of a dark sky with dark clouds, holding the Earth in her hands. A full, bright moon shines behind the head of Santa Muerte like a halo. A scythe floats to one side of Santa Muerte, and an hourglass appears to float on the other.

Symbolism: 

El Mundo represents worldly success, promotion, advancement, fulfillment, and reward. The cloak of the Santa Muerte in this card ​is white, a peaceful and protective aspect of Holy Death.  She presents the world, and everything in it, with both hands in your direction, ready for the taking.

The scythe represents the Santa Muerte's power to cut the thread of life, but the scythe in this image appears behind her, instead of in her hands. Her hands, as mentioned, are handing you the world, a symbol the Santa Muerte wants you to not worry of death for now, and to enjoy the fruits that the world has to offer. The hourglass is a symbol for the finite nature of life, but the hourglass in this image is obscured just enough to make it a mystery how much time remains in the timepiece - again suggesting that now is the time for enjoying the world, rather than focusing on the end.

The Santa Muerte in this image appears to float high in a light blue sky dotted by dark clouds. Dark clouds are typically a symbol for uncertainty or chaos, but the sky in the background appears to be one in transition, one in which a new sun is rising, as signified by the light blue color.

The moon that appears like a halo behind the head of Santa Muerte is a symbol for both the coming of a fresh cycle (a better cycle) in your life, as well as a symbol for the wisdom which has brought you to this point.

In a Reading Upright:

This card represents worldly success, success in work or business, and a general time of advancement and fulfillment. Fruits of labor will be reaped and the world will be yours to enjoy.

In a Reading Reversed:

El Mundo represents a period of obstacles and roadblocks. Frustrations in business can be expected, as well as trouble with getting projects done. This card in reverse may also point to a physical illness.
