Depiction: 

In the Tarot de la Santa Muerte, the card "La Estrella" shows a naked woman standing in a shallow body of water, which appears to rest near the base of a mountain range. Holding a set of water pitchers, one in each hand, the naked woman pours the water from the pitchers into the water where she stands.
 
Above the naked woman hovers the Santa Muerte, dressed in white, and holding an upside down water pitcher. Above the head of the Santa Muerte shines one bright white star. Eight smaller yellow stars shine in the night sky behind the Santa Muerte, four to the left of Santa Muerte and four to the right. White clouds also appear in the background of this image.
 
Symbolism: 

La Estrella represents inspiration, clarity, new ideas, positive emotions, and hope. The Santa Muerte in this depiction is wearing a white cloak, which represents harmony and general protection. As mentioned, the pitcher held by Santa Muerte is turned upside down, which makes it appear as if the naked woman was poured directly from it. Considering that the woman pictured appears young and beautiful, the fact that she was poured from the jug symbolizes the manifestation or springing forth of new and good things - she is herself a muse delivered to us by the Santa Muerte to inspire us and give us hope. The fact that she is naked represents birth or renewal, a further symbol of the birth of new ideas and of having hope for the future.

Mountains like the ones depicted in this image typically represent the spiritual realm or "the heavens", while bodies of water are generally used to symbolize the veil or wall of separation between the physical and spiritual realms. The presence of this mountain and water imagery on this card, with the naked woman standing near the mountains but in the water, symbolizes the spiritual source of things like inspiration, creativity, new ideas, and hope. Here, our muse is poured from the heavens to pierce the veil that separates the spiritual from the physical. From the pitchers held in each hand of the naked woman pours water, which falls into the body of water she stands in. White clouds, like the ones in the background of this image, symbolize peace and hope.
