Call Me Quickly Santa Muerte Magick

Primary Use

To encourage another person to think of you and make an effort to contact you. To put yourself on the mind of another person, so they want to get in touch.

You Will Need​

Herbs:

• ​Calamus Root - to gain control over another person or situation. Calamus doesn't turn people into zombie-slaves, but it can ensure that your target sees you as positively confident, charming, and charismatic. This will make it much easier for you to get what you want or need from them.
• ​Licorice Root - to change the thoughts of another person, to push another person's mind in the direction you choose, to make your target more receptive to your ideas, to keep something on someone's mind.

Other Ingredients: 

• 1 Skull Candle - to serve as the magickal representation of your target. Try to obtain a color associated with the goal. For example, if you want your target to contact you about a business opportunity, then use a gold candle, because gold is associated with business. If you want your target to call you for romance, then use a red candle, because red is assocated with love and romance. See a list of color correspondences for Santa Muerte magick by clicking here. A white skull candle can always be used as a substitute for any other color.
• Almond Carrier Oil - corresponding to matters of the brain and mind, used here to coat the candle and strengthen the connection between your magick and the target's mind.​
• Your Personal Information - This can be your name and date of birth on a piece of paper, an image of yourself printed off the computer, or even one of your own business cards / resumes.
• Your Personal Essence - This can be one or two strands of your own hair, a couple of eyelashes, or a pinch of trimmings plucked from your favorite beard trimmer. Hair will incorporate the best into this petition, but you may also use a couple of your own nail clippings, or a couple drops of your own spit. 
• ​​Cauldron / Burn Pot - for lighting your personal information on fire.
• ​Mortar and Pestle - for grinding and incorporating the herbal ingredients, the ashes of your personal information, and your personal essence.​
• ​Thin Etching Tool - like a pick or pin, to etch into the outside of your skull candle.
• ​Burning Plate or Bowl - to hold your skull candle while it burns.​

Candle Preparation:

At your Santa Muerte altar, use the thin etching tool to scratch the name of your target into the wax of the skull candle. You can also scratch another piece of identifying information if you know it - such as the target's date of birth, their phone number, or even the city where they live.

Grind the Herbs

Now grind approximately equal parts calamus root and licorice root. These two ingredients are typically sold whole or as broken chips and may be difficult to grind in a mortar and pestle right out of the package. I recommend cutting or shaving these herbs into pieces as small as possible before trying to grind in a mortar and pestle. You can also make grinding easier by ensuring that the herbs are thoroughly dry before introducing into your mortar and pestle. Be careful of breathing in the dust of the herbs as you grind, as it may cause irritation. You ultimately want enough ground herbs to cover the outside of your candle.

​Recite the Call Me Quickly Santa Muerte magick prayer, found below, as you grind and incorporate the two herbs together. Grind and incorporate the herbs until a bit of each herb is present in every pinch of the mixture.

Your Personal Information / Essence

Next, light your personal information on fire and let it burn to ashes in the cauldron or burn pot. As your personal information burns, again recite the Call Me Quickly magick prayer, found below.

When your personal information has been reduced to ashes, pour the ashes into the mortar over the herbs, then add your personal essence into the mortar as well. Grind and incorporate this mixture with your mortar and pestle until well blended, again reciting the below included Call Me Quickly magick prayer while you work.

Finishing the Candle

Using one or two of your fingers, lightly coat the outside of your skull candle, top to bottom, in almond carrier oil, then sprinkle the mixture from the mortar (which should now include the herbs, the ashes, and your personal essence) over all areas of the oil coated candle. 

​Throughout the process of preparing your candle, hold the image of your target in your mind's eye, and repeat the Call Me Quickly magick prayer (see below).

Using Your Candle

Set your prepared skull candle on your burn plate, then place the candle and plate on or near your Santa Muerte altar. Light the candle and recite the Call Me Quickly Santa Muerte magick prayer (below) three times. As you recite the prayer, visualize your target taking the time to get in touch with you.

Optional

While your skull candle burns, take time to talk to and pray over it throughout your day. Talk just like you would if your target was right in front of you and giving you all the attention in the world. Describe why you want your target to reach out to you, and what you want to talk about. You can end each talk with the Call Me Quickly magick prayer found below.

Disposing of Your Skull Candle​​​

When you've worked your magick with the skull candle and it's burned all the way to completion, you may dispose of what remains from this petition using the instructions outlined in my post How to Dispose of Magick Trash.

Holy Death, send thoughts of me,
